Caring for Your Palik Shoes

Protecting Your Shoes Before Wear:

• Leather Shoes (including Chelsea Boots, Monk Strap, Brogue, Oxford, Chukka, and Derby): Apply a wax or cream dressing and a suitable rain protector.

• Suedes and Patents: Use the appropriate protector.

• Leather Soles: Apply Sole Guard to protect and prolong their life.

Maintaining Leather Soles:

• Leather soles are porous and will absorb water, so they should not be considered waterproof.

• Regular treatment with Sole Guard is recommended.

• The colored cosmetic coating on leather soles will wear off with use but does not affect the quality.

General Shoe Care:

• Let wet leather shoes dry naturally, away from direct heat.

• Use shoe trees to maintain shape, reduce creases, and absorb moisture.

• Store boots with boot shapers to prevent cracking and creasing.

Cleaning and Protecting Your Shoes:

Protect:

• Nano Protector: Suitable for leather, suede, fabric, and wool surfaces (not for metallic, pearlized, or patent finishes).

• Patent Gloss: For patent, metallic, and pearlized leather.

• Waxed and Oiled Protector: For waxed or oiled nubuck and leather.

• Sole Guard: Specifically for leather soles.

Clean:

• Leather:

  • Shoe Cream: Nourishes and keeps leather soft. (Not for use on handbags.)

  • Aniline Cream: High-quality cream for aniline leather.

  • Scuff Cover: Covers scuffs and restores finish (formulated for children’s shoes).

• Suede:

  • Compact Suede Cleaner: Removes stains and spots.

  • Soft Cleaner: Removes stains from suede and fabrics.

  • Suede Revive: Cleans and restores color to suede and nubuck.
